She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood LeRoy and Elva LeRoy (Cooley); her husband Jim Root; her son Jimmy Root; and her siblings, Merna Kritenbrink and Doyle LeRoy.
She is survived by: her daughter Jackie Houchin (Dan Ruckman) of Avoca, NE; her grandchildren, Josh, Anthony, Ryan and Samantha Houchin; her great grandchild Jaxson Houchin; and her brother-in-law Jim Kritenbrink of Gretna, NE.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
