He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hilferty and Helen Hilferty (Andersen); his daughter-in-law Kiplyn Hopkins; his sister Dona Vasa; and his siblings-in-law, Keith Nelson, Jack Glunz, Gary Day and Betty Jo Hilferty.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Midcap of Madrid; his daughter Kellie Kava of North Platte; his granddaughter Brittany; his daughter Traci Lee (Sam) of Madrid; his grandchildren, Brady, Hudson and Thomas; his daughter Kristi Hopkins of Fort Collins, CO; his grandchildren, Kim and Brock; his son Travis Hopkins of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Preston, Lily and Peyton; his siblings, Marian, Bill Robertson of Elsie, Gary Hilferty of Grant, Gail Nelson of Grant, Sharon Day of Madrid, Lyle and Wyvonne Hilferty of Limon, CO; and his brother-in-law Stan Vasa of Lincoln. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
