With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merced Perez of Madison, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Merced has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merced Perez Gonzales and Maria Capetillo; and his wife Ramona Leal Gonzales. He is survived by: his children, Lidia Perez, Leticia Perez, Alberto Rafael Perez, Mauro Javier Perez, Jose Merced Perez, Rosa Maria Perez, Oscar Roberto Perez and Kenny M. Perez. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Leonard's Catholic Church (504 S Nebraska St, Madison, NE 68748). A vigil service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
