He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthias Ruppert and Agnes Ruppert (Jazwiec); his daughter Deb Livingston; his grandchildren, Sarah Veskrna, Wade Veskrna and Austin Ruppert; and his brothers, Leroy Ruppert and Frank Ruppert.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gaul; his children, Susanna Veskrna (Jeff) of Norfolk, Mike Ruppert (Cathy) of Stanton, Doug Ruppert (Cheri) of Iowa, Kathy Brakhage (Paul) of Lincoln, Carolyn Lucas (Clarence) of Texas and Bernie Ruppert (Becky Jones) of Wisner; his son-in-law Jim Livingston of Norfolk; his stepsons, Dale Pash of Iowa and Chris Laird (Celeste) of Lincoln; his siblings, Delores Hoffman (Dennis), Darlene Flesner, Theresa Herchenbach, Matt Ruppert (Diana) and Jim Ruppert (Laura); and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Kay Ruppert and Elaine Ruppert. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
