He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gross and Laura Gross (Wetjen); and his close friend Greg Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bland; his sons, Gerald "Jerry" Gross (Tracy) of Kennard, James "Jim" Gross (Genie) of Omaha and Jay Gross (Amy) of Newell, IA; his grandchildren, Amanda, Aaron, David, McKenna, Jaelyn, Kyle, Hannah Gross, Alexis and Austin Barber; his sister Marlene Bomar (John) of Battle Creek; and his brother-in-law Tom Bland (Carol) of Norfolk. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
