He is survived by: his wife Lila Mae Nelson (Bird); his sons, Rick Nelson (Diane Rix) of Lyons and Charles Nelson (Michelle) of Le Mars, IA; his grandchildren, Cayla Walsh (Robbie) of Le Mars, Mindi Schultze (Mitch) of Le Mars and Michael Nelson (Marissa) of Le Mars; his great grandchildren, Ava Walsh, Hunter Walsh, Parker Walsh, Carter Walsh, Tavion Schultze, Lakin Schultze, Mason Schultze, Logan Nelson and Karlie Nelson; his sisters, Lorene "Lori" Boyd of Benson, AZ and Elizabeth "Liz" Luebbert of West Point, NE; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Wintermote (Leonard) of Elm Creek, NE, Betty Mayberry (Steve) of Cabool, MO and Randy Bird (Kathy) of Wayne, NE. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
