He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Palme; his children, Susan Schlichting of Ellis, KS, Steve Schlichting (Ann) of Lyons, NE and Jean Swanson (Loren) of Gretna, NE.; his grandchildren, Nicole Swanson Genrich (Chris), Jessica Swanson of Gretna, Amelia, Caleb, Andrew and Elijah Schlichting of Lyons; and his siblings, Gayle Cropp of St. Peters, MO, Gloria DiMaggio (Phil) of Westwood, KS and Dennis Schlichting of Bancroft. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
