He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley G. Mendyk and Frances D. Mendyk (Stenka); his wives, Connie J. Osentowski and Alberta L. Sell (Hunt); his sister Leona; his brother-in-law Alfred Smedra; and his brother Richard Mendyk.
He is survived by: his children, Nick (Donna Mendyk), Shelly Mendyk of Lincoln, Brenda Yelkin-Dickey (Mark Dickey), Lynette (Rodney Wroblewski) and Scott (Marie Mendyk); and his siblings-in-law, Lavern Lewandowski of Grand Island and Annette Mendyk of Grand Island. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 5 great-granddaughters; his twin sister.
