He was predeceased by: his parents, James Otto and Florence Vivian Cross (Bacon); his wife Patricia Ann Cross; his daughter Charlotte Robin Cross; his daughter-in-law Leslie Adkins; and his siblings, Don Cross, Eula Jane Bennett, Margaret Cross, Granville Cross and Fred Cross.
He is survived by: his children, James C. Adkins (Lynnette) of Plattsmouth, NE, Sandra L. McCurdy (Dale) of Glenwood, IA, Cathlean A. Goodman of Glenwood, IA and Kenneth R. Adkins of Plattsmouth, NE.; and his siblings, Richard Cross of Nebraska City, NE and Janice Maybee of Florida. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
