He is survived by: his siblings, Ivan and Linda Hemelstrand (Meyers); and his children, John Melvin, Judith McClain of Loomis and Julie Monter (Charles) of Aurora, Nebraska. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
