He was predeceased by: his siblings, Darrell Rowell (Darlene), Helen Doll (Robert, Jr.), Carrol Jensen and Glenna Fischer (Lyle). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rowell; his children, Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey L. and Jennifer Hansen (Kert) of Wilcox, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Alexandra Makovicka (Alex), Sydnie Voichoskie (Ryan Huston), Kinley and Kolby Hansen; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Rodgers (Art) of Katy, Texas and Karen Brostad (Jay) of New Ulm, Texas.
A memorial has been established in Charlie's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
