She was predeceased by: her parents, James Boyd and Goldie Boyd (Gates); her brother John Boyd; and her siblings-in-law, Jean Jakob (David), Lois Martin (Tom), Faye Maaske (Darrell), Neil Johnston (Glenna) and Lyle Johnston (Bonnie).
She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Rae; her friends, Roberta, Mary, Karen, Nancy, Claudia, Barb, Jean, Darlene Schoen and Lois Ring; her husband Raye Johnston of Loomis; her daughters, Janet Johnston of Salina, Kansas and Kim Hemmele (Tony) of Loomis; and her grandchildren, Hannah of Holdrege, Brian of Holdrege and Sarah Hemmele of Holdrege. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A memorial has been established in Betty's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
