He was predeceased by: his daughter Amber Nicole. He is survived by: his parents, Larry Barkell and Joyce Barkell; his siblings, Wade (Liz) and Lynn (Steve); his children, Trisha, Katie, Ruger and Tanner (Summer Mardis); his uncles, Mel and Jim; his aunt Janet; and his nephew Jeff. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up at Points West Bank (308-875-2215) under the Gerald Barkell Memorial.
