He is survived by: his wife Judy Hammond of Litchfield; his children, Sonya Griffith (Mark) of Kearney, Jeffrey Hammond (Samantha) of Broken Bow and Rachel Chestnut of Naples, Florida; his grandchildren, Mindy Shepardson, Falicia Shepardson and Alexander Brian Chestnut; his stepgrandson Damien Chestnut; and his brother Edward Hammond (Debra) of Riverdale, Nebraska.
