He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Mach and Ethel Mach (Kaspar); his daughter Lisa Mach; his brother Dennis Mach; his father-in-law LaVern Svehla; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Svehla, Wilfred Scheibe and David Roebuck.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his daughters, Brenda Achterhoff (Jeremy) of Bellevue, Karen Hughes (John) of Kearney and Christy Mach of Bellevue; his grandsons, Bennet, Ayden Achterhoff, Dayne, Owen and Grant Hughes; his siblings, Georgia Roebuck, Glory Scheibe, Goldie Krivanek (Vern), Sherrie Hampl and Delbert Mach (Charis); his sister-in-law Virginia Mach; his mother-in-law Alice Svehla; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Brichacek, Laurie Schlautman (Marty), Shelley Wherley (Dean), Heather Svehla, Rodney Svehla (Mary), Larry Fairchild (Jacquelyn) and Randy Svehla (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Augustine's Catholic Church (619 Banner St, Schuyler, NE 68661). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at the Linwood Hill Cemetery (4494 X Rd, Linwood, NE 68036).
In Lieu of Flowers, Plants, and Statues, Dave's family requests donations be made to the Colfax County Veteran's Memorial, Linwood Hill Cemetery, or Family Wishes for later designation.
