With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Weitzel of Lindsay, Nebraska, born in Blair, Nebraska, who passed away on November 17, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Phil Weitzel and Mary Weitzel (Drahota); his wife Phyllis Marie Schaecher; and his mother-in-law Killian. He is survived by : his children, Rebecca "Becky" Weitzel of Omaha, NE, Anastasia "Stacy" Wilson of Lincoln, NE, Sarah Claussen (Todd) of Wayne, NE, Benjamin Weitzel (Melissa) of Treynor, IA and Bridget Pettit (Todd) of North Platte, NE; his grandchildren, Heather Wilson, Christy Bosn (Matt), Emily Claussen, Allison Claussen, Cole Weitzel (Emily), Clarissa Weitzel, Helanna Pettit, Dimitri Pettit and Dominica Pettit; his great grandchildren, Lennon Bosn and Audrey Bosn; and his sister Judith Wilmink (Ernie) of Burnet, TX. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Covid-19 DHM's in effect, including social distancing, will be followed at both the wake service and mass.
