We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2025, at the age of 99, William King Blythe Jr. of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy William King leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though William King may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Blythe and Ruth Blythe (Bates); his wife Phyllis Blythe (Griswold); his brother Harlan; and his grandson Paul.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Vanderkolk (Craig), Diane Thomas and David Blythe (Joy); and his grandchildren, Patrick Thomas of Roanoke, Jessica Yoder of Malcolm, Amy Benson of Garland, Nicole Norris of Lincoln and Kyle Blythe of Gretna. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Capitol City Christian Church (7800 Holdrege St, Lincoln, NE 68505).
