With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Donald Humphrey of Lincoln, Nebraska, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2024 at the age of 92. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Humphrey and Twila Humphrey; his wife Mary Jane Greear Humphrey; his son David Issac Humphrey; and the parents of child, Isaac Bailey Humphrey and Twila Littlefield Heiner Humphrey.

He is survived by: his son Patrick Donald Humphrey; and his daughter-in-law Carla Mae Humphrey (Strack).

Memorials can be made to Tabitha Hospice or the Cornhusker Fly Fishers.

“Don Humphrey was a gentleman and I trusted him completely. He was someone I could take a company issue to without fear of reprisal. He listened; he acted and no one else ever knew about it. He was the best at maintaining confidences, gaining trust, and following through with the problem. I never knew how or what his decisions were, but he ran his department well. He had ethics! Sincere condolences to the entire family on their loss. Don was so special.”
