With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia L. Nissen of Lincoln, Nebraska, born in Fremont, Nebraska, who passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold E. Hein and Joy Margaret Hein (Ley); her brother Jim Hein; her daughter-in-law Judy Nissen; and her granddaughter Katie Nissen.

She is survived by: her husband Jim Nissen; and her children, Rege Nissen (Linda), Jeff Nissen (Sue), Joy Wimmer (Matt) and Tim Nissen (Pam).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Westminster Presbyterian Church Foundation, 2110 Sheridan Blvd, Lincoln, NE, or Bryan Foundation, Nissen Scholarship – Bryan Nursing Student, 1600 So. 48th Street, Lincoln, NE.
