With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Varilek of Lincoln, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Varilek and Ruth Varilek; and his siblings, Ronald Varilek, Dorothy Barrow Tate, Robert Varilek and Joseph Varilek, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Varilek; his daughters, Terri Pereira (Candido) and Sherri Varilek; his sister Laura Lubeley; and his grandchildren, Laurel Pereira, Amanda Pereira and Hunter Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the PGA REACH Nebraska or the Autism Society of Nebraska, organizations close to Dick's heart.
