He is survived by: his parents, Loren Bender and Ruth Ann Bender (Bonertz); his siblings, Lynn Bender of Grand Island, Mark Bender (Heather) of Lincoln and Karl Bender (Lindy) of Omaha; his nieces, Elizabeth, Katie and Serena; his nephew Sam; and his aunts and uncles, Roger Bonertz (Mary Jo) of St. Helena, Jane Thelen of Fordyce, Robert Suing of Crofton and Norma Bender of Yankton, SD..
