Merlin M. Volkmer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlin M. Volkmer in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Volkmer and Emma Volkmer (Reinsch); his wife Evelyn; his siblings, Ervin, Kenneth, John, Roger, George, Deloris and Eunice; and his brother-in-law Allen Toews.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald Volkmer (Rona) of Carleton, Pat Mau (Paul) of Geneva, Mike Volkmer (Jolene) of Plainfield and Susan Volkmer of Waterloo, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Ross Volkmer (Janessa) of Goodland, Riley Volkmer (Hannah) of Kearney, Preston Mau of Geneva, Phylicia Mau of Manhattan, Priscilla Mau of Omaha, Katrine Gallo (Mike) of Spearfish, Eric Volkmer of Springfield, Matt Volkmer (Emma) of Springfield and Jared Volkmer of Plainfield, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Nora, Banks and Bishop Volkmer of Goodland, Kansas; and his sister-in-law Marty Toews of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
