She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Young and Mary Young (Carr); her husband Maurice "Mike" Stout; her grandson B. J. Stout; her daughter-in-law Dianne Stout (Dooley); her sister Ruth Stanforth; and her brother-in-law James Stanforth.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Stout of Tea, SD, Dr. Steve Stout (Peggy) of Fort Pierre, SD, Drs and Jane Munsterman (Wayne) of Lincoln, NE; her daughter-in-law Paula Schuelke (David) of Fernandina, FL; her grandchildren, Casey (Sadie), Michelle, Chris, Allison, Emily (Chris), Rebecca, Henry (Makayla), Remington, Jenna and Tyler; and her great grandchildren, Alex, Rachel, Tara, Paige, Jordan, Taylor, Austin, Easton, Ian, Olivia, Alvin and Valentine.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Tabitha in honor of the wonderful care that was provided to Maxine in her last years.
