She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Janowick (Hargraves) and Lee B. Franks; her stepmother Alice Franks (Rountree); her brother Theodore "Teddy" Franks; and her son David Schuerman.
She is survived by: her husband Lieutenant Charles W. Schuerman; her sister Leta Haupt (Franks); her children, Cammie Schuerman and Diane Mayer (Schuerman); her grandchildren, Miles Mayer and Christina Hartzell (Mayer); and her great grandchildren, Raelynn and Cecilia Hartzell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be accepted by the family to be given to a charitable cause at a later date.
