“Marie babysat me in the early 80s and her and Clarence became like grandparents to me during my parents’ divorce. I was just the neighbor kid but she would call me over for a loaf of fresh baked bread, made me Christmas presents and filled a void I had as a lost young person. She exposed me to Volga German culture and her neighbor Shultzie, who still spoke German. It was an honor to know her and I am forever grateful for the care and love she gave so freely. Godspeed Mrs. Reinhardt.”
