We bid farewell to Leland Emory Swanson of Lincoln, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 14, 2024 at the age of 93. Leland Emory touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emor Swanson and Bernice Swanson (Christenson); his wife Carol Swanson; his son-in-law Peter Minicz; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Harold Heyen; and his nephew Mark Swanson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynne Hahn (Greg), Kathleen Minicz (late Peter) and Amy Stanek (Steve); his grandchildren, Tracy Von Busch (Mark), Maggie Kellogg (Devin), Cody Hahn, Julianne Fant (Chris), Jacob Minicz, Allen Stanek (Sheila), Alyssa Zumpfe (Connor) and Andrew Stanek (Alyssa); his great grandchildren, Xavier, Zaden, Brielle, Brock Von Busch of Lincoln, Emery Kellogg of Lincoln, Aaliyah, Christopher Jr., Addison Fant of Omaha, Rylee, Jordyn, Nora Stanek of Valparaiso, Brenli, Breckyn Zumpfe and Lennon Stanek of Ceresco; and his brother Loren Swanson (Naomi) of Wahoo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metcalf Funeral Home (245 N 27th St, Lincoln, NE 68503).
