With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leland Dale Pavel (Lincoln, Nebraska), born in Crete, Nebraska, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Pavel and Sadie Pavel; his siblings, Evelyn Loibl and Frank Pavel; his son Timothy; his daughter-in-law Cheri Pavel; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Palmer, Roger Palmer and Roberta Hoefar.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Pavel; his daughters, Kari (Nick Amen) and Tonya (Kevin Allen); his siblings-in-law, Stan Loibl, Vernita Pavel and Marilyn Palmer; his grandchildren, Ryan Pavel (Meg), Jordan Pavel (John), Alex Elekes, Jordan Allen and Trent Allen; and his great grandchild Fenix Pavel (Brylee Allen-Rue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
The family wishes memorials to Southwest Rural Fire Department and the Arbor Day Foundation.
