With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julie Rene Schmit-Albin of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on August 22, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Irene Schmit (Squire); her parents-in-law, Joseph Albin and Margaret Albin (Loennig); and her sister-in-law Catalina Macaltao Schmit. She is survived by: her father Loran Schmit of Bellwood, Neb.; her husband John Harmon Albin of Lincoln, Neb.; her son John Squire (Shoko Toma); her grandson John Seigo of Boston, Mass.; her daughters, Molly (Diana Alejandra) of Chicago, Ill, Rachel (Rafael Martínez-Feria) of Minneapolis, Minn and Annie of Lincoln, Neb.; her stepdaughter Tanya Fox-Albin of Lincoln, Neb.; her siblings, Marcia Schmit of Mesa, Steve Schmit (Diane) of David City, Neb., Mary Schmit of Chandler, John Schmit (late Catalina Macaltao Schmit) of McKinney, Michele Schmit of Bellwood, Neb., Susan Schmit (Kathryn Mason) of Tacoma, Wash, Jean Hopwood (Kevin) of Orlando, Fla., Lorin Dunlop (John) of Lake Oswego, Ore and Michael Schmit of Mesa; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Albin (Julie Williams) of Minneapolis and Marian Gramlich (Richard) of Gretna, Neb.. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
