He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Velazquez and Clorinda Velazquez. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Velasquez; his son Joe Velasquez (Emily); his stepchildren, Paul Sebek, Lisa Sebek and Deborah Sebek; and his siblings, Delores Cordova (Carmel), Helen Velasquez and Edward Velasquez. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (2001 S 11th St, Lincoln, NE 68502).
