She is survived by: her daughters, Dana of Lincoln, NE and Karen of Lincoln, NE; her brother-in-law Richard Murray (Karen) of Sioux City; and her brother Russell Murray (Pam) of Missouri. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

During her years in Sioux City, JoAnn worked for Swift and Company, and went on to become the main employment building manager for Cooper Foundation in Lincoln.
