He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shannon; his children, Abigail Peatrowsky (Michael) of Omaha and Brandon Peterson of Lincoln, Nebraska; his granddaughter Eleanor; and his brothers, Lance Peterson (Ginny) of Cheyenne, Mick Peterson (Monica) of Farmington and Doug Peterson (Yvonne) of Cheyenne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to United Lutheran Church or Bridges to Hope.
