He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Billie Philipps and James Philipps; his close friends, Harry, Patty and Branson; his wife Susan "Soupy" Philipps of Lincoln, NE; his brothers, Bob Philipps (Carla) of Apache Junction, AZ and Mike Ostermiller (Kris) of Howell, MI.; his cousin Abby; and his son Chris.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home (4040 A St, Lincoln, NE 68510). A rosary was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St Peter Catholic Church (4500 Duxhall Dr, Lincoln, NE 68516).
