We bid farewell to James L. Shaw Sr. of Lincoln, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 15, 2025 at the age of 80. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shaw and Maudie Shaw. He is survived by: his children, Rick, Shannon, Sherry and James Shaw Jr.; and his siblings, Constance Hejl and John Shaw.
The military honors will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Wyuka Funeral Home (3600 O St, Lincoln, NE 68510).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers or anything else, donations be made to the Lincoln V.A. in appreciation for the sacrifices soldiers like James make daily in the line of duty.
