It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Kearney in North Platte, Nebraska, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James L. Kearney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Kearney and Marie E Kearney (Schmidt); and his granddaughter Katie Korensky. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Michelle Evans (Michael), Patricia Korensky (Todd), Michael Kearney (Jenny) and Ryan Kearney (Cathy); his grandchildren, Chase (Miranda), Gage and Shae Canfield; his children, Colin (Holly), Mason, Addie, Charlie, Peter, Cooper, Kearney Korensky, James, Joseph Nicholas, Elizabeth, Hannah Kearney, Willa and Mae Kearney; and his great grandchild Adalynn Korensky (Baby Korensky).
Viewing will be held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home (4040 A St, Lincoln, NE 68510). A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ (3500 Sheridan Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68506). A burial will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the St. Francis Cemetery - Wahoo (1600 County Rd J, Wahoo, NE 68066).
Memorials may be given to the family to be divided among the Cathedral and Lourdes Central Catholic Churches and Schools and Lincoln Pius X High School.
