He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Armstrong and Frances Armstrong (Kneifl); his children, Susan and Paul; and his brothers, Phillip, Patrick and James.
He is survived by: his wife Margarete; his children, John Armstrong (Kim), Anne Krause (David), Patricia Reimers (Jeffery), Amy McGinnis (Rockey), Gerald Armstrong (Shay) and James Armstrong (Amy); and his sisters, Mary Armstrong and Jeanne Montgomery (Armstrong). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be offered to the family for designation to be made at a later date.
