It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Dean Mayfield of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mayfield and Leone Mayfield (Schrader); his grandparents, Lester and Avis Schrader; his son Bradley Mayfield; and his siblings, Valerie Friesel, Raymond Mayfield and Gene Mayfield.
He is survived by: his wife Sonjia Mayfield; his daughter Rhonda Sanford (Robert); his sister Charlene Noden; his sisters-in-law, Carol Mayfield and Edie Mayfield; his granddaughters, Julia Sanford (Logan Garbers), Kristin Gladson (Dakota) and Laura Sanford; and his great grandchildren, Annelise and Gabriel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at the Havelock United Methodist Church (4140 N 60th St, Lincoln, NE 68507).
The family wishes memorials to the family to be designated at a later date.
