She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard E. Weispfenning and Emma Weispfenning (Ketterling-Balliet); her husband Reverend Arthur Schmitt; and her sister Dorothy. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary (Vandal Oakland), Lois (Dennis Ruck), Margaret (Pete Louwerse) and Hope Schmitt of Lincoln. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
