She was predeceased by: her parents, J. H. Seggern and Gesina Bertha Von Seggern (Von Essen); her husband Merlin Popken of Paul's Lutheran Church; and her siblings, Minerva Ivens, Eileen Drieling, Wilma Miller, Lucile Mallon, Leslie Von Seggern, Marvin Von Seggern and Harlan Von Seggern.

She is survived by: her children, Madalyn Popken of Lincoln, Nebraska and Stephen Popken (Patty) of Scribner, Nebraska; her grandsons, Adam (Karlie Robinson) of Hooper, Nebraska and Tyler Popken (Katlyn); and her great grandchildren, Thomas and Henry of Hooper. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the church.

“My sympathy to Doloris's children, Madalyn, Steven and Patti. Your mom was a wonderful school teacher back many years ago when I was in grade school in District #50. She taught us well and the day was fun when she sat at the piano and had us kids gather round to sing. Also enjoyed her organ music at St. Paul's. She was a wonderful person and friend. May God bless her and be with you all. Ione Popken”
