She was predeceased by: her father John Peters; and her parents-in-law, Irene Svoboda and Cyril Svoboda. She is survived by: her mother Norma Jean Peters of David City; her husband John; her children, Jeremy Svoboda (Elizabeth) of Lincoln, Nicole Chiles (Shane) of Lincoln and Trevor Svoboda (Niki Zitek-Svoboda) of Seward; her grandchildren, Courtney, Colin Svoboda, Alli, Cade Chiles, Kallie Zitek, Lucas Zitek and Kinley Svoboda; her siblings, Denise Havlovic (Kevin), Randy Peters and Rick Peters; and her siblings-in-law, Carolee Svoboda, Mary Ann Mattingly, Jim Svoboda and Randy Svoboda (Barb). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her dear friends and neighbors.

A rosary was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the CST North American Martyrs Catholic Church (1101 Isaac Dr, Lincoln, NE 68521). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (580 I St, David City, NE 68632). Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the CST North American Martyrs Catholic Church (1101 Isaac Dr, Lincoln, NE 68521).
