He is survived by: his wife Arlene Stastny (Hotovy); his daughters, Annette Hammeke (Curtis) of Hays, KS, Judy Siedhoff (Bob) of Crete, NE, Joyce Vrbka (Lyle) of Lincoln, NE. and Jane Stastny of Lincoln, NE.; his grandchildren, Andy Hammeke, Alicia Knight (Kegan), Nicholas Hammeke (Olivia), Kara Greenwalt (Tyson), Matt Siedhoff, Luke Siedhoff (Katie), Haylee Polak (Tyler), Jessica Roettger (Matt), Quentin Vrbka (Sami) and Aaron Vrbka; his brother Leonard Stastny; and his sister-in-law Connie Hotovy.
