With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Jean Strasheim of Lincoln, Nebraska, born in Beatrice, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie McCown and Lorin McCown; her husband Don; and her pets, Buster, Sugar, Laika and Rusty.

She is survived by: her half-brother Lee McCown; her children, Tom Strasheim (Dana), Jim Strasheim (Anna), Steve Strasheim, John Strasheim (Lisa) and Ann Wenzl (Dan); and her grandchildren, Jaret, Caden, Blake (Tom), Donald, John (Jim), Steven (Steve), Jackson, Sydney (John), Sarah and Sam (Ann).
