Ackerman; his wife Lulu Pfister; his grandchildren, Jacob Pruett of Rhododendron, Jennifer Braaten of Mankato, Samuel Ackerman of Auburn and Emma Ackerman of Auburn, Nebraska; his great grandchild Sophia Braaten of Mankato, Minnesota; his sister Nancy Aplin; and his siblings-in-law, Melinda Holcombe and John Pfister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church or Shriner's Children Hospital of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
