It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty L. Wessel of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Herr and Pearl Lydia Herr (Rexroth); her husband Edward; her sister Verna Kruse; and her daughter-in-law Jodi Wessel.

She is survived by: her children, Judith Batliner (Dennis), Cynthia Knight (Joseph), Pamela Hemmingsen (Patrick) and William Wessel of Lincoln; and her grandchildren, Jason, Ronn, Misty, Chris, Nick and Ashley.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
