As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ruth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius W. Aikin and Hazel D. Aikin (Dye); her husband Kenneth; and her children, Kathy and Kenneth "Wayne".
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Rowand (Ron) of Berthoud and Deb Petersen (Bernie) of Hartsel, Colorado; her brother-in-law Richard Hendricks of Callaway, Nebraska; and her grandchildren, Keith Sladky (Serena), Jim Sladky (Dawn) and Corrin Goudzwaard (Lance). She is also survived by great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Reynolds-Love Funeral Home (106 W 8th St, Lexington, NE 68850). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
