He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Sherman and Elsie Sherman (Westmeyer); his wife Rose Marie Sherman; his brother Dale Sherman; his brother-in-law Dick Hald; and his nephew David Hald.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Sherman (Terri) of Lincoln, Brenda Colvin (Don) of Lexington and Kevin Sherman (Brenda) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Matt Sherman, Susan Fuller (Akai), Colleen Sherman, Laura Sherman and Scott Sherman; his great grandchildren, Levi Sherman, Madelyn Sherman, Ezra Sherman, Solomon Sherman, Sammi Fuller and Akai Fuller, Jr.; his sisters, Thelma Hald of North Platte and Eileen Tiede (Murl) of Elwood; and his siblings-in-law, Jo Sherman of Lexington, Don Gormley (Dee) of Granbury and Dennis Gormley (Dixie) of Amana, Iowa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Reynolds-Love Funeral Home (106 W 8th St, Lexington, NE 68850). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar First Presbyterian Church (801 N Lincoln St, Lexington, NE 68850).
