He is survived by: his wife Marie Wellmann of Lexington; his children, Brian Wellmann (Ramona) of Gothenburg, Brent Wellmann (Lisa) of Cozad and Beth Klootwyk (Ryan) of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Shad Wellmann (Ryan) of York, Shaley Lienemann (Jared) of Doniphan, Shania Wellmann of Englewood, Kamden Wellmann (Bailey) of Gothenburg, Kerry Griffin (Kouper) of Kearney, Kasey Leverett (Trevor) of Sublette, Sydney Klootwyk (Alec West) of Omaha, Owen Klootwyk of Omaha, Ian Klootwyk of Omaha, Erika Smith of Kearney and Emily Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Tenley Wellmann and Heidi Lienemann; his sister Karon Walter of Oconto; his sisters-in-law, Marge Wamser of Wheatridge and Ruth Shiltz of WaKeeney, Kansas; his brother Charles; and his sister-in-law Jo Ann Devine of Kearney.
