He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hoban and Lillian Hoban; his parents-in-law, Ray and Juanita McClain; his siblings, William 'Ron', Morris 'Moe', Fay, John 'Buck Hoban and Helen Rogers; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Hoban, Anna Hoban and Douglas E. McClain.
He is survived by: his wife Markieta McClain of Lewellen; his children, Heather Howard (Joe) of Lincoln and Jacob Hoban (Amber) of Fairmont; his grandchildren, Brecken Hoban, Beau, Hazel Howard, Farrah and Lydia Gordon; his siblings, Gwen Golden (Billy) of North Platte, Jodi Lee of Pullman, WA and Terrance 'Terry Hoban of Sidney; and his siblings-in-law, Patty Hoban of North Platte, Pat Hoban of North Platte, Marolyn Hoban of North Platte, Vickie Bloom (Sheldon) of Henderson, NV, Geree Diaz (Henry) of Vancouver, WA and Keith Olsen of Belt, MT.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to American Legion Post #90 Baseball Team in Valentine.
