She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Mrstny and Leita Mrstny (Olson); and her spouse Arlyn Osten of John's Lutheran Church. She is survived by: her children, Jacquelyn Rezac (Steve) of Valparaiso, Stuart Osten (Laure) of Leigh and Mitchell Osten (Crystal Rahn) of Allen; her grandchildren, Erica Varn (Brad) of Omaha, Brad Osten (Leigh-Anne) of Papillion, Katherine Osten (Greg Schaffer) of Laramie, Emilie Osten of Carroll, Anna Osten (Devin DiPiazza) of Stromsburg and Lena Whitewater of Wayne; and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella Varn, Kayleigh and Hadleigh Osten (Clara Osten) of Carroll. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
