He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hoessel and Cornelia Hoessel (Wullschleger); his wife Delores Benning; his siblings, Ruth Rickert (Adolph), Wilfred Hoessel (Lorraine) and Gladys Luckey (Walter); and his brothers-in-law, Edward Hassebrook and Art Gersib.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Hoessel (Josefine) and Denise McAfee (Jeff) of Leigh; his grandchildren, Blythe and Boone McAfee of Lincoln; and his siblings, Phyllis Hassebrook, Shirley Gersib of Columbus and Gordon Hoessel (Edna) of Leigh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
