He is survived by: his close friend Bob Diers; his wife Carol Westlund (Frye); his daughters, Monica Lang (Mark), Brenda Hein (Tavis) of Omaha, NE and Tara Duve (Kevin) of Palmetto, FL; his grandchildren, Connor, Aidan Knight, Tavis Hein, Paige and Carson Duve; his siblings, Roy Westlund (Dale), Cherona Hajewski (Tom) and Renae Hall; and his nieces and nephews, Kim, Nikki, Erik, Jeff, Jon, Liz and Maggie.
